Ingredients:
- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1 and 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350F 175C and line a cupcake pan with paper liners
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients
Mix until just combined
Stir in the vanilla extract and milk chocolate chips
Spoon the cupcake batter into the lined cupcake pan, filling each cup about 2/3 full
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean
Remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
While the cupcakes are cooling, prepare the milk chocolate frosting
Once the cupcakes are completely cooled, frost them with the creamy milk chocolate frosting
Optional: Garnish with additional milk chocolate chips or sprinkles if desired
Serve and enjoy
