Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts sliced into thin strips
- 200g chow mein noodles
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 red bell pepper sliced
- 1 green bell pepper sliced
- 1 carrot julienned
- 2 cups bean sprouts
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions:
Chow mein noodles should be prepared as directed on the package, drained, and then set aside
Put the chicken strips in a bowl and marinate them in sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, salt, and pepper
Put it away for fifteen minutes
In a big skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over high heat
Stir-fry the marinated chicken until it is thoroughly cooked
Take out and place aside
If necessary, add a little extra oil to the same wok
Stir-fry the onion and garlic for one minute
Add the bean sprouts, carrot, and sliced bell peppers
The veggies should be crisp-tender after another three to four minutes of stir-frying
Add the cooked chow mein noodles and the cooked chicken back to the wok
Stir-fry everything for two to three minutes, making sure everything is well combined and heated through, after adding the oyster sauce
If necessary, add more soy sauce, salt, or pepper after tasting
Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot
