Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried lavender flowers
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a bowl, whisk together the flour and salt
In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy
Add the dried lavender flowers, lemon zest, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture
Mix well
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until a soft dough forms
Scoop small portions of the dough and roll them into bite-sized balls
Place them on the prepared baking sheet
Use a fork to gently flatten each ball and create a crisscross pattern on top
Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
Once the cookies are completely cool, you can dust them with a little extra powdered sugar if desired
